The production of household and industrial goods using polyester resins during manufacture was of great significance, as it replaced raw materials such as metals and wood. BKP Berolina is still benefiting from this long-standing experience today.[/icon_timeline_feat][icon_timeline_item time_title=”From the Plastverarbeitungswerk Staaken to PLAWESTA Kunsstoff GmbH”]The company, renamed PLAWESTA Kunsstoff GmbH after Germany’s reunification, had more than 1000 employees in 1989.[/icon_timeline_item][icon_timeline_sep time_sep_title=”1991: BEROLINA Group”][icon_timeline_item time_title=”From PLAWESTA Kunsstoff GmbH to the BEROLINA Group”]In 1991, PLAWESTA Kunststoff GmbH was taken over by the BEROLINA Group.[/icon_timeline_item][icon_timeline_item time_title=”Development of the Berolina-Liner System® and the GRP pipe coating”]Development of the Berolina Liner System® began in 1995, the first line was delivered two years later. [/icon_timeline_feat][icon_timeline_feat time_title=”2010: Move to the Berlin suburb of Velten”]Due to the company’s outstanding development, the old production buildings in Berlin-Staaken no longer provided sufficient space. The owners therefore decided to invest in a completely new and larger location. Due to the excellent conditions, BKP Berolina opted for a generously sized site in the northern outskirts of Berlin. Located in an industrial park, the site ensures the company has enough space to develop and expand. After the initial ground-breaking ceremony in September 2009, the company moved in just a few months later. In 2012, the site was extended by 52.000 square feet to enable BKP to expand.[/icon_timeline_feat][icon_timeline_feat time_title=”2016″]T3 BKP GmbH buys out the shares of Greiffenberger AG and Göran Grosse is appointed a managing shareholder.[/icon_timeline_feat][icon_timeline_feat time_title=”2020″]The Dresden-based T3 BKP GmbH, owned by Göran Grosse, is acquiring the remaining 25 percent of BKP Berolina Polyester GmbH & Co. KG and will thus become the sole shareholder of the company from Velten. Former managing partner Ralf Odenwald retired from BKP Berolina on 31 December 2019.[/icon_timeline_feat][icon_timeline_sep][/icon_timeline][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1553169744461{margin-top: 50px !important;margin-bottom: 50px !important;}”][vc_column]
